I like Thomas’s Weblog book!

Sunday, June 3rd, 2007

My friend Thomas Madsen-Mygdal and his co-writer Tina-Maria Kristensen did only launch the book in Danish language, but its still a great introduction to webblogs. There wasnt thats much new in it for me, but I have also discussed blogs with Thomas for many years and have had the pleasure of listning to many of his speaches on the subject, so I guess, even with my sometimes bad memory, some of all that info should be present for me… ;-) anyway I really like the way it sums up, presents different people and companies experieces with blog and offers advice for the ones who want to start up a personal blog or a company blog or… and at their launch party/reception I did take home 3 copies so my colleagues at Addvisors could get some inspiration to our new blogs…

At their launch party/reception they made a small presentation - and they also posted some pictures from the even - I even managed to find myselves there.. ;-)

Boo is back!

Monday, May 7th, 2007

But this time Boo.com is not about fancy designer clothes presented in 3D by an avatar and with a FORTUNE spend on development, a private jet, huge parties and Gurkha guards…. this time Boo.com is about travel and Boo.com is a travel site based on web 2.0’s user participation in another combination….

A Spam Fighter car!

Monday, March 26th, 2007

Just a tiny tiny Wing on this Spam Fighter car - I guess after Spam Fighter winning one of the awards at e-handelsesprisen 2007 they should be able to buy a car with a bigger Wing… ;-)
Gratz to Spam Fighter - the award was well deserved!

Klodsmajor - the only one with safe kids makeup

Monday, February 12th, 2007

Klodsmajor was in the newspaper Nyhedsavisen today - in an article about makeup for kids and as the only company Klodsmajor did sell safe makeup without any ‘bad stuff’ in ‘em… Susanne, you really know how to buy the right stuff for the shop!

Jury meeting in the Internationalization group

Sunday, February 11th, 2007

Friday I was at the jury meeting for the Internationalization award at e-handelsprisen 2007. We had to discuss and compare notes on the 19 submitted websites for the category and decide on which 5 should proceed - proceed to be the real nominees…
We had some good discussions and we did not always agree fully, but we surely ended up with 5 websites which are great examples of websites going international with big succes.
And the nominees are:

  • Autocom.dk
  • Just-Eat
  • Languagewire
  • LEGO
  • Spamfighter

The staff from FDIH did take some pictures from our meetings - yes, its me

And I did take some shots of my fellow jury members, too …

Lars Toftgaard and Simon Goldschmidt

In the jury at e-handelsprisen 2007

Thursday, February 8th, 2007

Just been invited to join the jury at e-handelsprisen 2007 (the Danish award for the best e-commerce solutions) in the category ‘Internationalisering’ (like in ‘going international’).
The nominees in the category are a bunch of interesting sites/companies ranging from more traditional products and services like SAS the airplane company to pure Internet/computer-tech product and services like Bullguard, Spamfighter and Lovefilm - I’m really looking forward to look some more at all the sites/companies.
All the nominees in all the categories can be found here - please note that my mentioning of a few of the nominees here shall not be seen as any kind of preference of mine….

Google Analytics watching….

Tuesday, February 6th, 2007

Its funny with webstats/tracking..  as soon as you get it implemented you become a junkie of the lastest stats - especieally with an application like Google Analytics (Nope, not paid to write that) because of the sweet features like ‘Geo Map Overlay’, keywords and ‘Visits by Source’…  and you really get surprised by where and what makes your visitors come around…

I installed Google Analytics on my blog (in fact the old version) several months ago… I guess its in fact like a year ago and today my highest provider of visitors for the last week is searches in Google for an Addvisors competition ‘InFlow ApS’ - my old version of my blog ranks on first page in Google on the term ‘InFlow’ just because I was rather pissed last summer when I typed in www.gronkoncert.dk in my search for the concert ‘Grøn koncert’ and got send to CDON.com with some affiliate tracing included - that made me write a small part on my blog about it…  just because I was pissed and did find it wrong to do.
Sorry InFlow I dont really spend my time tracking, tracing and writing about my colleagues/competitors in the business (I do find that just as uncharming as misleading users…), but I dont really like the practice of snatching domains either…

Gotta go, got some Google Analytics to look at…  ;-)

Thomas Madsen-Mygdal at DIA07

Friday, January 26th, 2007

A little late stuff from DIA07.

My friend Thomas Madsen-Mygdal was the last speaker at DIA07 and intended to be in opposition to the ‘marketing guys’, taking the side of the people - and not just looking at us, the people, as eyes, customers, consumers, but as people… And so he DID, big time - in fact in such a way that fellow speaker Matias ‘I’m a god and like to listen to my selves speaking’ Palm-Jensen (Farfar) and our local viral man Balder Olrik (GoViral) got closed to pissed… Balder managed to try to interrupt Thomas’ speach and Mathis did feel very offended and pissed in the panel discussion later . so pissed he made one of the WORST personal attack I’ve ever seen at a panel discussion… well done guys! Respect to Thomas!

Addvisors took home the DIA07 Award!

Friday, January 19th, 2007

Addvisors Copenhagen came to the Danish Internet Award 2007 with nothing less than 3 out of 6 (workwise 5 out of 6…) shortlistings in the category ‘Search effectiveness’, so we were all very excited about the outcome today.

The first award was the category ‘Search effectivness’ and Addvisors took home the award for the bureau behind the search campaign for the airplane ticket company Flybillet.dk (Mediacom were the Media agency).

I would like to thank all the guys (and girl) behind this great award - thanx, you are the ones behind it!
