and I will not be there…. damn it..

My brother Peter and the ‘kids’ arrived at my apartment a bit later than 04 his morning , after a night of music at the Roskilde Festival - to my big disappointment they didnt look wet at all…. the weather turned out to be dry from above, but that didnt take away the minimum 20 cm of mud all over the area… Anyway they had a great evening, but looked rather sleepy…

And today it will be Red Hot Chili Peppers day (and The Who day for Peter), which I unfortunately cant join them for… damn it…

Denmark is big time under water because of heavy rain in the last days which creates big problems for cars on some roads, houses being flooded and also the Roskilde Festival which has NEVER had that much water before - Ekstra Bladet’s reporter tells about standing in half a meter of water and mud under the Björk concert last night.
And today my brother Peter and his ‘kids’ Thomas, Erik and Maria will arrive at my place - as the ‘base camp’ for their trips to the Roskilde Festival (they are NOT planning to sleep there - in the water and mud). But it seems like they wont be seeing that much of the music because of the weather…  wussies.. 
They plan to watch The Who (Peter is a BIG fan), Red Hot Chili Peppers and Beastie Boys…  oh yes, I would have loved to join them, but no chance right now..

Now I got another event to be ready for - Grøn koncert, the concerts all over Denmark, sponsored by Tuborg, will be in Copenhagen on the 29th July and in Næstved (close to Copenhagen) on my birthsday 28th July.
Grøn Koncert will have both Danish rock and Danish HipHop - not bad….

but unfortunately I was not there…  so unfair…  but next time for sure!

A great piece of news arrived in my inbox today - Smashing Pumpkins will give a concert in Copenhagen as part of their ‘Zeitgeist’ tour. And Smashing Pumpkins havent been in Copenhagen since 2000, so it was certainly about time…  of course they havent made anything since, but still about time…  BUT again a concert where I happen to be on my August vacation in Thailand - it better be some GOOD diving there, because now I’m missing the chance to see both Smashing Pumpkins and Chris Cornell in concert in Copenhagen, damn it!

and I’ll be on vacation in Thailand…..
Damn it! Booked a great upcoming vacation in Thailand with my friend Benjamin - a vacation that I’m looking very much forward to and nothing will change that, but still it sucks to get an email today telling that Chris Cornell will be promoting his new album ‘Carry On‘ (already ordered at BangCD….) in Copenhagen in August - the month where I’ll be in Thailand…

Rolling Stones will give a large concert in Copenhagen on August 5th and I got tickets today - tickets for my brother Peter and my great friend Benjamin - Perfect!
I choose to do it on 1 of our 2 local ticket-shopping-sites BilletLugen and it did in fact work pretty fine… either they have improved their service/servers or we weren’t that many ordering, but it took me only 5 minutes to order and pay for the tickets.. Niceeeee
But the prices… damn! going from 650 kr. (110 USD) up to 1500 kr. (250 USD) - thats by fare the most expensive tickets for a rock concert in Denmark! And for the oldest rockers around…
Anyway I got cool tickets just in front of the scene!! B (170 USD a piece and no shares included…)

and Puffy or P. Diddy or whatever was just as weak a rapper and dancer as his bank account is big… Diddy even managed to fuck up his strongest hit Bad Boy For Life with too much remix…
Snoop played some of the best ones from the new album and of course old stuff like Gin & Juice - sweet! and he even told about the weed he wanted to smoke now that he wasnt in Sweden anymore… 
And Stilbo and the guys managed to book a table at a local cafe - great timing - beers and no line…  and maybe one Puffy song short… I likeeeee
