2 DIA08 nomination and 1 prize….  nice!

A big congratulation to Jens Olesen and his former company Addvisors GmbH for the DIA08 prize together with StarCom and the client Wupti.com - pretty cool that Addvisors even after the sale of the Danish clients and the brand still are getting prizes…

An afternoon at the race track

Monday, February 11th, 2008

Yesterday I was invited to the race track, but not a ‘normal’ race track, but a race track for Radio Controlled Model Car Racing or MRC as its called in Denmark. The race was a part of the Danish Championship and my friend Søren Boy Holst (former World Champion) did great securing his overall win in this part - now he just has to do good in the last one in Århus and another Danish Championship should be home.. and another trophy added to the more than 450 trophies in the Boy Holst home!
It was really great fun watching the races - a lot of action! Not all the guys are perfect at controlling the cars, so some races did include quite some crashes…. and there was an intense fight. I wont be driving myselves, but it will not be the last time I’ll watch it again.

(yes, he did of course apply the right stuff to the tires and made sure the batteries was freshly charged.. NO old charged batteries for a champion.. ;-) )

(I didnt see any doping control, but the cars got weighted and measured down to the milimeters, so dont race with a too tall wing or…)
And Søren Boy Holst - number one of the day!

Sam King has been a busy boy!

Monday, February 11th, 2008

My former OrangeWorld colleague Sam King left Denmark some years ago for studying back in his homeland Australia, but it seems like it was not really University he meant?! At least I can see from the picture he’s sending in his ALL-email that he’s also finding a bit of time for the Gym and a bit of modelling….  Sam, you have been a very busy boy!

Addvisors got 2 nominations at DIA08

Saturday, February 9th, 2008

Even though Addvisors clients and brand in Denmark has been sold to notabene.net its still amaze me to see that Addvisors again has got 2 nominations in the Effect prize (keywords) at the Danish Internet Award (DIA08). It’s really makes me proud that Addvisors could attrack and foster some of the best people on the Danish PPC scene…
Unfortunately there will be only one winner on the day….  so I just hope that it would be either Jens Olesen and Addvisors GmbH (the German Addvisors Office) with the campaign for Wupti.dk or Andreas Backe and Addvisors with the campaign for SkandiaBanken.
(Yes, I know that Addvisors is not mentioned as Creative Agency for SkandiaBanken, but I have been promised by IUM that they will correct it…)

Is this Dan Taxbøls brother?

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

In an article about Nordic Game Jam 2008 I spotted the winner Jesper Taxbøl, who created a game about loneliness - I’m just wondering if Jesper is my friend Dan Taxbøls brother?!

Another win for Buakaw

Sunday, February 3rd, 2008

Buakaw Por.Pramuk is one of my favorite  K-1 fighters and for sure the best one in his  weight-groups, so it did hurt seeing him loss to Masato at the 2007 K-1 MAX Final…  not a bit  defeat, but a defeat…  one that for sure is going to be avenged..
And yesterday Buakaw took it out on Sato - a Japanese fighter that Buakaw defeated last with a fast knockdown…  this time it was a 4 rounds punishment…  Great seeing Buakaw back again!
