Silver cow in Copenhagen
Saturday, June 30th, 2007Seems like Copenhagen is invaded by cows… this silver cow (no, its not a gold cow) greeted me on a famous Copenhagen square Kongens Nytorv.

And another cow at Kongens Nytorv…

My father Ib at the DFDS ferry Pearl of Scandinavia - we were relaxing in the Wine bare after some hours of sightseeing in Oslo - My father choose coffee and single malt whisky (Highland Park, 25 yo - GREAT choice!) and I was beginning with a beer - an Ale from Ølfabrikken… a Danish Micro brewery

but unfortunately I was not there… so unfair… but next time for sure!
Some of our time in Oslo on Sunday we spend in Vigelandparken, which is a large sculpture park in central Oslo containing the art works of the famous sculptor Gustav Vigeland (1869-1943) - the work of Gustav Vigeland is amazing and I spend some time wandering around the sculptures wondering about his mood when he made them…
The “entrace”

The bridge of sculptures

Father and child playing - or will he just drop the child?

The huge fountain in Vigelandparken

The Monolith

And the famous ‘angry child’

After a relaxing boat cruise to Oslo together with my father I was again to be found at the Addvisors office in Copenhagen. The cruise was really nice and good to see my father again - in fact the only small disappointment was the rainly Oslo weather…
I promise to drop some pictures from Oslo here on the blog pretty soon..
Will head for Oslo (again) this weekend - on a 2 days cruise with my dad - gonna be real nice… so no blogging this weekend…
Google Denmark launched the Danish version of Google Maps yesterday from the morning and in evening they held a small and cosy launch presentation/party at Hotel Skt. Petri in Copenhagen - and a little more in the club Bar Rouge, also in Hotel Skt. Petri. The Addvisors crew from Copenhagen was of course invited…. Thanx to Google for a cosy launch Party.
Google Maps looks like another interesting application from Google and now that the information in boosted with info from partners in Denmark it has the potential to be a nice tools - not least in the version for mobiles.

It seem like Copenhagen has a serious case of mad cow disease (BSE) or is it just an attack of a bunch of painted cows - whatever it is, it is certainly a colourful thing.
Check out these 2 cows I spotted yesterday… will this create a wierd trend of cow-spotting?

(btw the dark green metal thing in the background is in fact one of the old pissiors/urilnals in Copenhagen - not many left of these constructions…)

On my way home from Kristian, my physiotherapist, I sort of stumbled into this red cow… is nature freaking out here in Copenhagen or what? that shit would never happen back in Jutland… ![]()

(and you even get them will a BBQ installed…)
A great piece of news arrived in my inbox today - Smashing Pumpkins will give a concert in Copenhagen as part of their ‘Zeitgeist’ tour. And Smashing Pumpkins havent been in Copenhagen since 2000, so it was certainly about time… of course they havent made anything since, but still about time… BUT again a concert where I happen to be on my August vacation in Thailand - it better be some GOOD diving there, because now I’m missing the chance to see both Smashing Pumpkins and Chris Cornell in concert in Copenhagen, damn it!
