The bad Wild Orchid Villa experience is still there…
Isnt it strange how we people has a tendency to always remember the bad experiences?
It’s close to 14 days since I returned from a really nice vacation in Thailand (and I promise to write more about the different places) and I really do remember the trip as great, but still I cant forget about the rude and threatening staff at Wild Orchid Villa in Bangkok - and the female manager who even slap Thomas… I have NEVER experienced anything like that in Thailand before!
I can only repeat myselves - DONT stay at Wild Orchid Villa!

Hi Niels,
I can really follow you. My girlfriend and I also had a bad experiece with Wild Orchid Villa in Bangkok - we stayed at the Wild Orchid Villa for 3 days and everyday they did make mistakes with our food and were slow in correcting them, but at the last day of our stay it got too much for the manager??!! (probably the same girl you write about) and she told US to behave and not complain so much or we should find some other place to stay!! And we of course did find another place!!!
Luckily Bangkok and Thailand has so much to offer, so we went on and it seems like its just that female manager and Wild Orchid Villa in Bangkok who treat customers like that.

That’s amazing - I’ll remember not to stay at the Wild Orchid Villa when I visit Bangkok in the summer.

I am whriting regarding the wild Orchid Villa review you have posted on your website a year ago.
I am the new manager of The Wild Orchid and would like to resolve this.
I heard the story before and i only ask for you to be fair on your review.
We all know that theres always two sides of the story.Our new,well-trained
staff is continously providing excellent service and our rooms are currently being renovated for better,more enjoyable stay for our guests.I know that this incident happened a year ago but if you give us one more chance,I’m sure you will be very delighted that you have chosen to stay with us and pleased to have experienced the true thai hospitality.

Thanx for your comment here on my blog - really nice to hear from the new Manager of Wild Orchid Villa.
So you heard the story before - interesting… I can tell you that I do feel that I have been very fair - mentioning it on my personal blog and give you this space to write..
But being there and remembering the follow episode with the beating squad and getting ‘rescued’ by the Police man doesnt have a ‘two sided’-part in my eyes…
Hearing that you have started as the New Manager is really nice and it might in fact get me to try Wild Orchid Villa next time I visit Thailand and Bangkok (sometimes Fall 2008 or Spring 2009) - I have had several nice meals at Wild Orchid Villa and the sister-hotel, so it was really quite a unpleasent surprice back in April 2007 - I would love to change that impression (and also erase the experience.. but thats not possible…)….
